The rest of the trip there passes peacefully, and as soon as they exit hyperspace Finn jumps into the copilot's seat so he can be there as Poe takes her in. Not that he can really do anything from there, but the view is better and it's more exciting than just sitting in his room. Spira is gorgeous from space, temperate oceans dotted by tiny islands, nothing you'd really call a continent. Are they going to head to one of the bustling ports or somewhere more out of the way? Until they land, Finn doesn't know for sure and it's pretty exciting.
